Navigating the Future: FAFSA Night & HCCF Scholarships Await!

As we step into the new year, exciting opportunities unfold for our graduating seniors. We're thrilled to share two crucial events that can shape your educational journey and ease the path to your dreams.

InvestEd FAFSA Completion Night: January 3, 2024 
Mark your calendars for January 3, 2024, as Corydon Central High School hosts the InvestEd FAFSA Completion Night from 6:00 to 8:00 pm in the IMC (media center/library). This hands-on event provides invaluable support as you navigate the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. Bring your laptop or student chromebook, along with your 2022 tax income information. InvestEd representatives will be on hand to answer questions and guide you through the online application, ensuring it's submitted on time.

Quick Reminders:

  1. FAFSA is now a requirement for ALL graduating seniors, beginning with the Class of 2024.
  2. If you wish to opt your student out of FAFSA, there's a waiver form available. Please contact your school counselor for details.
  3. Before the event, complete your FSA ID accounts. It takes between one and four days to create the accounts—one for the student and a separate one for the parent.

HCCF Universal Scholarship Application: Deadline January 20, 2024 
Don't forget about the Harrison County Community Foundation Universal Scholarship! With over 100 scholarships available, this is your chance to unlock financial support for your educational journey. The application deadline is January 20, 2024, so seize this opportunity during winter break. Visit HCCF Scholarships to get started.

And remember, there is a temporary change to the universal scholarship application. If you are wanting to qualify for any of the need-based scholarships through the HCCF, you must also submit your FAFSA application.
