On Tuesday, June 18, 2024, the SHCSC Board of School Trustees convened at the Administration building for a special session to vote on new hires, post job positions and hear about summer professional development opportunities teaching staff have already attended.

One leadership change to note is Heth-Washington Elementary School is gaining a new principal, Ashley Faith. Mrs. Faith has been the Assistant Principal at Corydon Central High School for 3 years and has 15 years classroom experience serving in several leadership roles along the way. The position for CCHS Assistant Principal is posted on the Corporation's career dashboard.

Additionally, Dr. Eastridge shared some highlights from a recent professional development trip 20 teaching staff members took to St. Louis to learn more about Professional Learning Communities and tactics each building can implement in the 2024-2025 school year.
He also shared there is a lot of progress on the summer construction projects and looks forward to touring each facility with the Board on July 26.
