Following a day rich with professional development, South Harrison Community School Corporation (SHCSC) celebrated its annual Opening Day, marking the official start of the academic year with enthusiasm and gratitude for our educators.
The ceremony was a vibrant affair, recognizing new staff members, celebrating internal transfers, and most importantly, appreciating all our teachers for their unwavering dedication and hard work. It was a day to honor those who shape the future of our community: our teachers.
Dr. Eastridge, our superintendent, led the festivities which culminated in a giveaway blitz that brought excitement and joy to the gathering. Thanks to the generous donations from local businesses, more than $7,000 worth of prizes were distributed. Teachers walked away not just with tools and tokens of appreciation but with renewed spirits, ready to tackle the new school year.
The list of businesses who showed their support includes notable local contributors such as AML Construction, Krempp Construction, Edward Jones, and many more. From gift cards to high-tech gadgets, each contribution was a testament to the community’s respect and appreciation for our educators.
