School Counselor Week provides us with the opportunity to honor and recognize all the hard work that Mrs. Baxter does for Corydon Elementary School.
Mrs. Baxter started working for the corporation as a kindergarten teacher at Corydon Elementary School. She remained at CES for 10 years in this position before transferring into a school counselor position at Heth-Washington Elementary School where she spent 3 years. She transferred into the CES counselor position in back in 2021.
Mrs. Baxter spends her days working with students and supporting teachers. In addition to meeting with students individually and in small groups, Mrs. Baxter conducts monthly lessons in each classroom covering various topics. Annually, she coordinates programs like Red Ribbon Week and College Go Week.
Mrs. Baxter is a tremendous resource to the staff and students at CES. So, be sure to express your gratitude the next time you see her.
