Heth-Washington Elementary

The HWES Robotics Team, under the guidance of Coach Ida, traveled to Tell City on Saturday for the first of two tournaments this season. The team has worked diligently on a very difficult game for the 2024 season! The team is learning how to design, build, code, and drive their robot in a short amount of time, pairing with teams from across Indiana in a collaborative effort in this year’s game. Teams must pick up widgets and transport them to respective goals in a short amount of time.  While this may appear easy to do, it is rather difficult considering the time limit, not knowing the collaborative team’s strengths, and dealing with mechanical failures!  Kudos to our future Wildcat engineers and  Coach Ida for making this opportunity possible!
