Tuesday: Dream of a life without drugs - wear your PJs
Wednesday: Dress like you're on the red carpet
Thursday: Don't get mixed up with drugs - wear mismatched clothes
Friday: Wear your Halloween costume (no masks, nothing resembling a weapon) to school and then head to South Pole Village Fundraiser Thrift Store at 6:00 pm for the HWES Trunk or Treat!

The Corydon Central Boys Basketball Youth Camp has been canceled for tonight. All other times remain the same and tonight's camp will be rescheduled for next Monday.

Who remembers the EGG DROP challenge??? 🙋🏻♀️ 🥚 This is a classic project all love as students experiment with physics, force, and gravity. Read this week’s blog featuring Mrs. Carrillo’s 6th grade class doing the egg drop & fun extensions you can do with your science-loving student at home! 👉🏽 https://bit.ly/4eBjaGG

We’re bringing parents, teachers, students and community members together to work toward solutions that will foster inclusivity and safety for all students! Our first in-person meeting is on October 29, 2024, at 5:30 PM. Register here: https://bit.ly/4epqoNM

HWES families - If you're looking for a winter activity for your kiddos, I encourage you to consider Corydon Wrestling Club! It's a great program with great coaches who will teach your kids about more than just wrestling.

Many thanks to Corydon Central High School's FFA members, Bella and Sheridan, who shared all things apple with our 2nd grade students! Our students learned all about what it takes to get an apple from the orchard to their local stores, the parts of an apple, had a taste test, and took some goodies home to share with their families.

Heth-Washington was temporarily under new leadership today as 1st grade student, Wesson, was principal for the day! Mr. Lambright helped to pick out our yearbook cover, stock the concession stand, inspect the playground, fill birthday bags, visit classrooms, and helped our kindergarten students at lunch. Thanks for your help and leadership, Mr. Lambright!

Let's give a shout-out to our awesome custodians, Shannon and Paula! We couldn't do what we do without them. Happy National Custodian's Day!

Heth Washington 6th graders culminated their egg drop projects on September 26 by having their devices dropped from 3, 8, and 40(ish) feet! Students worked through the design process of trial, error, and eventual success. Students also detailed their process, methods, and materials in their engineering notebook and wrapped up the project with a written assignment detailing their scientific journey!

We look forward to seeing HWES students dress up tomorrow (Monday) to finish celebrating College Go Week: Dress who you aspire to be (no masks, weapons).

I can't say "thank you!" enough to everyone involved in making this year's Fall Festival a success. This event is not possible without the dedication and hard work of our PTO officers and members! Many thanks to our School Board members for their support and for attending our event. To our teachers, staff members, and student volunteers, a special thanks for giving your time and efforts to make our night a fun evening for our families. A huge shoutout to the businesses and donors who supported our Wildcats. Thank you to our families for your donations to our class baskets and bringing your students out for a fun and memorable night!
With a full heart, Mrs. Faith

Registration is now open online at https://schoolsmiles.com/student-signup/ with over 100 languages to choose from when completing the online form. As a reminder, School Smiles requires a new registration form be filled out each school year.
