In fourth grade this week, we had a science experiment with collisions. Students built ramps and crashed toy cars! We learned about energy transferring during a collision.
We also played Trashketball during math. Student where given a number and practiced subtracting greater numbers and across zeros. The student with numbers created a number for a team member to solve using subtraction. If their answer was correct they had a chance to earn a point for their team by making a paper ball in the trash can. If it was incorrect, team members could identify the mistake and have a chance to make a basket.
