In Kindergarten today, we spent the day practicing our 13 power words and numbers to 20 “farm style”. We used team work skills to make butter by shaking whipping cream for 20 minutes. Each student got to shake the jar for the duration of one song and then passed to the next person in their group. We celebrated our hard work with a snack break and taste tested the butter on crackers. We also worked on some hand strengthening by shucking corn and talked about the process of farming corn to make popcorn.
