A big thanks to Paul from the IU Uplands Maker Mobile for co-teaching in some of our classes this week. Here are some of the activities they completed:
- Mr. Bate's world history class recreated Leonardo De Vinci's helicopter and self-supporting bridge.
- Mrs. Brown's algebra class used linear systems of equations and Desmos software to create their own cities.
- Mrs. Rainbolt's ICP class studied Newton's laws (speed and acceleration) by creating rubber band cars.
- Mrs. Jones' English class represented Shakerspersion and figurative language with models.
- Mrs. Stewart's biology 1 class looked at recessive and dominant traits by creating mythical monsters and their offspring. Her environmental science class showed the flow of energy in food webs using Makey Makeys and scratch coding.
