On Tuesday, December 3, 2024, the South Harrison Community School Corporation Board of School Trustees gathered to discuss key educational and operational matters. Below are the highlights from the meeting:
Recognitions
A big congratulations to Jackie Pease, Treasurer at South Central Elementary School, for her many years of dedicated service to the students and community. Jackie’s contributions have been invaluable, and we wish her the very best in her retirement!
Renovation Project Update
Superintendent Dr. Eastridge updated the Board on the ongoing renovation projects. While significant progress has been made, there’s still a lot of work to do. Dr. Eastridge emphasized the need for patience as the district continues improving facilities for our students and staff.
College & Career Readiness Update
Manda Graf and Allison Schalk presented exciting updates to the high school course offerings and college and career readiness programs. These changes aim to provide students with more opportunities to explore career paths and prepare for life beyond high school.
New Position Approved
The Board approved the creation of a new Communications Specialist position to enhance the district’s outreach and engagement efforts. If you know someone with a background in marketing or communications who might be interested, please encourage them to apply! The job description is now posted on the district website.
