The Indiana Department of Education (IDOE) recently awarded South Harrison Community School Corporation, along with 96 other Indiana schools and community partners, with $57 million in Explore, Engage and Experience (3E) grant funding. The grant will aid Indiana’s schools and local partners as they work to expand students’ access to pathways leading to high-wage, high-demand careers.
South Harrison received more than $52,000 to build a strong partnership between the Indiana/Kentucky/Ohio Regional Council of Carpenters, Mac Construction and C&R Construction. The intent is to work with these organizations on a number of short- and long-term projects students can participate in that are impactful to the community and sharpen their skills.
The Architecture and Construction pathway is housed at South Central Jr./Sr. High School and taught by Mr. Ledford.
