Good morning. We apologize for the disruption; however, we wanted to let everyone know that all students have arrived safely and have begun their school day after a period of time of being sheltered in place. Internet and phone services are currently out of service. We are waiting more information concerning time line for restoration of services.

The next PTO meeting is April 9th at 5:30 in the CES cafeteria. Aside from regular business, 24-25 Board nominations will be announced. Our PTO plays a huge role in financially supporting our school by managing fundraising activities that in turn aid our teachers, staff, and students!
Position details can be viewed on Facebook on the CES PTO page: https://www.facebook.com/CorydonElemPTO
If you are interested in serving our school through a position on the CES PTO board, or know someone that would be a great candidate, please submit their name and contact to cespto@shcsc.k12.in.us as soon as possible. Nominations will close during the meeting on April 9th.
Thanks,

Happy Counselor Week, Mrs. Sally Baxter! She is one of the best! She helps everyone and we appreciate her soooooo much! Help us to make her feel special this week. Comment below with a kind word or let her know she is appreciated. Thank you!

Help spread kindness this week! We will be promoting kindness and helping others. We want everyone to get into the spirit this week. Check out our dress up days! Talk to your child about the importance of being kind and model it as a family! Let's spread kindness through our school and community!

We wanted to thank everyone who bought ornaments at our Jolly Holiday Shop. The students made the ornaments, sold them, and raised over $600.00. They decided to give $300.00 to the Macy House Homeless Shelter in Corydon and $300.00 to the local Cat Rescue. Representatives came to school to thank the students and explain how the funds will help their respective organizations. It was a great learning experience for our students.l

Mrs. Enlow's 3rd grade class participated in an inquiry project in science. They learned about bird beak adaptations and how the size and shape of the beak affects food choices.

Here our 1st grade students of the month. These students have mastered the life skill of being persistent and not giving up! Great job, first graders!

Hello Families! We will be having Kindness Week this year February 5-9 (more details to come as we get closer). As part of Kindness Week, we will have an assembly on February 8th called "Look Out For the Left Out." This assembly will urge us, and hopefully inspire us, to look out for others by opening our eyes, hearts, and hands to others in our home, school, community, and world. You have the opportunity to get some slime or swag from Calla's shop. When you go to the website, you will see her story. All proceeds from her shop go to Casa Calla, which you can read more about on the website as well. Here is a link to order. Please choose pickup, and Mrs. Enlow will have your items to you by Feb. 8, the assembly day. Last day to order is January 31st! Look Out For the Left Out
