Ms. Seacat's 1st graders used their 5 senses to learn about adjectives and how best to use them! My guess is that taste was their favorite sense to enhance their learning!

This week CES 3rd grade students were treated to the first field trip of the year at the Harrison County Fairgrounds. Students learned about all things agriculture and had the opportunity to interact with some furry barnyard friends-only a little horsing around, we're not kidding!

Thank you to the CES PTO for sponsoring our guest speakers, Ben and Crystal Woods who presented Look Out for the Left Out! Ben and Crystal shared their daughter, Calla's message, of open eyes, open hearts, and open hands. Students learned about being strong positive role models and caring CES Panthers. We would like to thank our speakers for encouraging our students to be awesome young people with a powerful choice to always be kind!

Good afternoon, The Corydon Campuses were placed on a soft lockdown due to reports of perceived gunshots in the distance behind the high school baseball fields. Recess was immediately moved inside and our academic day was not disrupted. The School Resource Officers conducted an investigation and no apparent threat was observed. As an abundance of caution, the decision has been made to keep students indoors for the remainder of the day. Scott Ferriell Principal Corydon Elementary School

Thank you CES PTO for purchasing each student a yellow spirit wear shirt for student to wear during special event, especially field trips and field day! Yesterday we celebrated the gift by painting the halls of CES yellow! All staff members were gifted blue CES shirts, just to make sure big kids may be distinguished from the littles!
